Yoga studio Banyan Yoga is located in the center of Delft, within walking distance of the Central Station. A cozy and spacious studio located on one of Delft’s iconic canals. The studio features a welcoming reception area, a spacious changing room, and a class area of no less than 85 m2 with a wooden floor.
The studio uses infrared heating panels. This warms the body without heating the air in the studio. This is not only better for the environment (as the studio doesn’t need to be heated hours in advance), but also ensures that your body is warmed from the inside, making your practice more pleasant. The studio is also equipped with a professional ventilation system.
Manduka ProLite mats are available in the studio. The mats are cleaned after each class. You can, of course, bring your own mat. Bolsters, blocks, straps, and blankets are also available in the studio. Additionally, the studio has free lockers to safely store personal and valuable belongings.
Banyan Yoga derives its name from the Banyan tree. This tree has traditionally been used as a place where people (merchants) gather underneath. The tree is considered sacred and is mentioned in the Srimad Bhagavatam. It is characterized by its aerial roots, which allow it to grow so large that it can cover an area of several hectares. The oldest Banyan is more than 300 years old.
